A Booster Box is a sealed product in Disney Lorcana containing 24 booster packs. Booster boxes are typically sold to local game stores and mass retailers alongside each new set release. They are the most common way for players and stores to acquire large quantities of randomized cards from a specific set.
Product contents
A standard Lorcana Booster Box includes:
- 24 booster packs, each containing 12 randomized cards (6 common, 3 uncommon, 2 rare/super rare/legendary, and 1 foil of any rarity)
- No additional accessories or promotional cards (unlike the Illumineer's Trove)
The box itself is designed for storage and often features set-specific artwork on the front and sides.
Release information
Booster boxes are released alongside each main set of Lorcana, typically in two waves:
- Local game stores (LGS) – on the official prerelease or LGS release date
- Mass retail – approximately two weeks later (except for Fabled onward, which had a worldwide simultaneous release)
The first Booster Box was released for The First Chapter on August 18, 2023 (LGS) and September 1, 2023 (retail).[1]

Trivia
- Booster boxes are sometimes referred to as "display boxes" in retail catalogs.
- The first print run of The First Chapter Booster Boxes had a different cellophane wrap than later printings.
- Some collectors buy booster boxes to keep sealed as an investment, as certain early boxes (especially D23-related) have appreciated significantly in value.
