A Starter Deck (also known as a pre‑constructed deck) is a ready‑to‑play 60‑card deck in Disney Lorcana. It is designed to give new players a complete deck that can be used immediately in casual or tournament play. Each Starter Deck contains two foil cards of the characters on the package front.[1]

A standard Lorcana Starter Deck includes:
- 1 deck of 60 cards (2 of which are foil cards)
- 11 damage counters (for marking damage on characters)
- 1 paper playmat
- 1 paper tracker token (for tracking Lore points)
- 1 quickstart rulebook[2]
Starting with Archazia's Island, Starter Decks also include a bonus booster pack of 12 randomized cards.[2]
First Chapter starter decks
The inaugural set, The First Chapter, featured three Starter Decks, each using two different Ink colors:
- Amber/Amethyst – Focuses on healing and card draw.
- Emerald/Ruby – Focuses on control and stealing Lore.
- Sapphire/Steel – Focuses on ramping Ink and protecting characters.[3]
Each deck contains 60 cards, matching the standard deck size for tournament play.[3]

Subsequent sets
Each main set of Lorcana is accompanied by two or three Starter Decks, typically featuring different Ink pairings. Starting with Fabled (Set 9), Starter Decks began including cards reprinted from earlier sets due to the introduction of set rotation.[3]
Trivia
- Starter Decks are the most common entry point for new players.
- The foil cards in each Starter Deck are always the characters featured on the packaging.
- Starter Decks are legal in all formats unless specific cards are banned.
