Winterspell is the eleventh set of the Disney Lorcana trading card game. It was released by Ravensburger on February 13, 2026 for local game stores, and on February 20, 2026 for mass retail.[1] The set introduces a winter/holiday theme and features the Icebound keyword and Chill counters.

The set consists of 204 cards, including 6 Enchanted variants. It continues the storyline following the mystery of Whispers in the Well, as the realm of Lorcana enters a deep, magical winter.

Story

After the detective mystery of Whispers in the Well, a new threat emerges – a frozen curse sweeps across the Inklands, turning glimmers into ice. Illumineers must venture into the Frozen Reaches to uncover the source of the curse and save their characters. Along the way, they encounter new allies and old villains, all battling the bitter cold.

New mechanics

Icebound

Icebound is a new keyword that appears on characters and locations. An Icebound card cannot be exerted (tapped) by the player who controls it unless they pay an additional cost, such as discarding a card or paying extra Ink. Some Icebound cards also gain bonuses when the opponent tries to interact with them.[1]

Chill counters

Several cards in Winterspell place Chill counters on characters. A character with a Chill counter loses 1 Strength for each Chill counter on it. At the start of each turn, all Chill counters are removed from characters.[2]

Winterspell introduces characters from multiple Disney properties, with a winter or holiday theme:

  • Mickey Mouse & Friends – Mickey on a snowboard, Minnie in a winter coat, Goofy as a ski instructor.
  • Scrooge McDuck – A winter‑themed Scrooge guarding his ice‑covered money bin.
  • Ghosts of Christmas – Characters from Mickey's Christmas Carol (e.g., Ghost of Christmas Past).
  • Stitch – Stitch as a carefree snowboarder (featured in the Gift Set promo).
  • Pocahontas – First appearance in Lorcana, with a winter forest theme.
  • Darkwing Duck – First appearance, patrolling snowy rooftops.
  • Lilo & Stitch: The Series – Experiment 625 (Reuben) making sandwiches in the snow.
