Encanto: Magical Gifts is the sixteenth set of the Disney Lorcana trading card game, planned for release in 2027.[1] The set expands on the world of the Madrigal family introduced in Ursula's Return and Whispers in the Well, focusing on the search for their lost magical powers after the Miracle began fading.
Story
After the events of the previous sets, the Madrigal family's magical powers begin to fade. Mirabel, who never received a gift, discovers that she may be the key to restoring the miracle. The Illumineers join the Madrigals on a journey into the heart of the Encanto, where they must confront mysterious forces draining the family's magic and unlock the secret of their gifts.
New mechanics
- Gift – This keyword represents a character's unique magical ability. A "Gift" ability might only trigger if the character is exerted or if they are affected by a certain type of magic.
Featured characters
The set features the entire Madrigal family, including some in new forms:
- Mirabel (Appears in new heroic art as "Mirabel – Keeper of the Miracle").
- Luisa, Isabela, and Dolores – Might appear in new story contexts, exploring their gifts beyond the film.
- Abuela Alma – As the family matriarch, she could have a powerful ability centered on protecting or buffing other Madrigal characters.
- Bruno – His ability to see the future could manifest as a "Scry" or top‑deck manipulation mechanic.
