He built the Great Illuminary as a "story‑forge" to collect and reimagine Disney stories. Inside, he created a brigade of [[Magic Brooms]] to serve the facility and began summoning glimmers from story stars using an early version of the inkcaster.<ref name="CuratorLore"/>

Seeking help, he called a small group of imaginative apprentices from an unknown world and named them Illumineers. Together, they filled the Great Illuminary with lorebooks and glimmers. For unknown reasons, the Curator eventually departed, and the original Illumineers vanished with him.
